Gerard From Selectro On New Music, Going Solo & More

Since this status went up a few hours ago, fans have been wondering as to what really went down with the duo who made history last year by being the first Lankan Dj Duo to play at Tomorrowland. Talking to us exclusively is Gerard, founder of the group.

DecibelLk: What are plans for this year, especially since last year saw you both take on Belgium (tomorrowland & other gigs)?

Gerard: We have some international tours coming up in this summer and mostly, I will be focusing on productions

DecibelLk: The word on you and Dilu splitting, how true is this?

Gerard: Yes it is true. The decision has been made with a very good understanding between both of us. Since we both were confident on continuing as solo acts, we thought it’s high time to split up and expand our reach in the industry.

DecibelLk: How would this affect the dynamics of what’s already been?

Gerard: This would not affect Selectro by any means. Selectro will continue keeping its identity as it is and will move forward with its fullest.

DecibelLk: New music? New record label?

Gerard: Yes, currently there are a few projects that I’m working on and some IDs have been produced. Expect a release them very soon.

DecibelLk: What does the future hold for you as a solo act

Gerard: I will try to do my best for the music scene. As Selectro, my target is to make it a well recognized brand here at home and in the international scene. Expect news in the future.

DecibelLk: Anything you’d like to tell fans

Gerard: When I wake up every morning and lay to rest at night, everyday, I count my blessings and pray for how fortunate I am to have great fans, health and family. I’ll give you good music. That’s a Promise
