The Soul Band, Here’s What They Are Upto

Here is one band that’s been garnering more attention that they expected and that’s cuz of the unique brand of music they bring to wherever they perform. Last year saw a very special gig and the release of their single ‘Alive’. We had to catch up with them before they take stage this weekend at ‘Stripped Down‘.

DecibelLk: What’s The Soul up to these days?

Dave: We were playing out of Colombo a bit for the down south surfing season, it’s over for now and we are back to recording with our buddy Ravin.. We are also composing more new material.

DecibelLk: When can fans get a hold of your band’s debut effort?

Dave: I wish I could tell you a date.. I really do. More than the fans I think the band members want to know.. But we are not rushing this process, not forcing any party if they can’t make it.. But so far Ravin is making it sound lovely.

DecibelLk: What’s in store for fans this Saturday?

Dave: Well we want to play all our original, depending on time we can maybe sneak some covers in too. But our originals are priority, It will be very similar to the sound we generate down south. A mix of acoustic and electric. It’s been a while since we last played in Colombo so we are ready to go for it!
