Asela Perera – Stereo Monologue (Live From The Podi Apartment)
The first single from Asela is here for 2018 and it’s uptempo, something we’re not used to hearing from him but we’re digging this effort!
Lyrics below
Time is a roaming bird,
Flying over my head,
Trails over valleys and earth,
Talk to me oh kindness,
Talk to me, talk to me,
Talk to me, oh kindness,
Can’t you see, can’t you see,
Your eyes are all but blinded.
We are walking in circles,
Led in line like it’s our own circus,
How could we have not seen the possibilities.
Monologues on stereo speakers,
Tuning in onto both ears,
What have we become,
What have we become,
Just a shadow of ourselves.
Grace is a lost reserve,
Laid to rest and forgotten,
Replaced by agendas to serve,
To fall in line without question,
So question me, question me,
question me, oh kindness,
What have we left in these,
Threads of hurt and judgement.
