Fill T Talks About That Massive Sinhala Hip Hop & Rap Collaboration – “Ginna”
Change is always, good!
Here’s a single we think could help push a positive feel into a scene that has seen its share of drama during the last few years. Talking to us exclusively is senior rapper Fill T who is very much part of the project.
DecibelLK: How do you feel about being a part of one of this year’s biggest collaboration?
Fill T: I’m proud of it and I finally got a chance to work with an individual who is also a Hip Hop great in his own right, having worked for Wu Tang Clan, Talib Kweli, Nas, Roc Nation etc. He is an artist who knows about the struggle of being an artist and hence it’s all good. I’m talking about the one and only DJ RD!
DecibelLK: Why do you feel (in your own opinion) that a track like this is necessary for a time like now?
Fill T: It’s high time the power tripping and beef left the building. We’ve seen enough of drama and it’s time to unite and show the world outside and in that we have a solid Sinhala hip hop and rap culture. Look , its K-Mac from 44 Kalliya & Born Lord from the Drill Team together with myself, Killer B, Prasa KG, BK & Big Doggy with DJ RD producing the single. Isn’t that saying something?
DecibelLK: When is the video going to drop?
Fill T: We will be dropping the audio in 2 weeks after which fans can expect the video to be out in a month’s time. Keep track on our FB pages yo!
I personally have to say that Sri Lanka has so much of brilliant, unrecognized talent and hopefully, this single should be able to set hearts and minds on fire about our passion towards the art. Fake rappers have nothing on this!
