The Sooriya Village is proud to present to you the January sessions of The Sooriya Workshop Series with none other than ” Shadow and Light “, an Indian Fusion band whose styles of music infuses Hindustani classical, pop, jazz, and electronic. The vibe is contemporary and cinematic. Shadow & Light have played at festivals and venues across the country including ‘Friends of Music’, ‘Chandigarh Jazz Festival’, ‘DIY Festival’ and ‘Fete de la Musique’. They were chosen as the 1st runner up of the ‘Sennheiser top 50’ competition in 2015 and won the opportunity to record with one of Bollywood’s top production studios – ‘Flying Carpet Productions’. 2016 has been a magical year for the band as they released their second album ‘Elements’ in February along with a music video for ‘Dua’ on Pepsi MTV Indies. They were also invited to shoot with Kappa TV – a Malayalam speciality music television channel with programs like Music Mojo. Shadow and Light have opened for the likes of Anoushka Shankar and Ranjit Barot and have played their music with Karsh Kale (NY) and Benny Dayal on the main stage at NH7 weekender.

The members of the band along with their business manager will be conducting workshops on the 22nd of January at The Sooriya Village for FREE!
