Experimental Berlin-based Drummer Moritz Baumgärtner first visited Sri Lanka in December 2016 while touring South-Asia with the Melt Trio. During this short stay he connected with fellow drummer and music educator Sumudi Suraweera. This March Moritz Baumgärtner has returned for a 3 week residency to share, mentor and jam with musicians from the Musicmatters Collective. 

This concert at the Goethe-Institut will feature Moritz experimental drumming, solo and in collaboration with musicians of the Musicmatters Collective including Isuru Kumarasinghe, Sarani Perera, Uvindu Perera, Isaac Smith, Dayan Basho, Sumudi Suraweera and more.
