About 

Chinese born Lu Yao is a young multiple award winning pianist who is a sterling representative of the next wave of hyper-virtuosity coming out of China. A graduate of the elite Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, his program in Colombo will feature some of the most famous and virtuosic music of Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Saint-Saëns/Liszt/Horowitz & Debussy. Principal members of the CMSC will join Lu Yao in the rarely performed Septet Op. 65 by Saint-Saëns.

The concert is made possible through a generous grant by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka.
