‘Blowhards’ consists of three short comedies written and directed by Arun Welandawe-Prematilleke. These hilarious spoofs feature a number of instantly recognizable characters from Lankan society.

Each play showcases the opinionated ‘Blowhards’ among us: armchair activists, politicians, upper-crust housewives, and trust-fund babies, amongst others. Are they actually going to do something or is it just a lot of hot air?

The Sunday Times called the plays, “Funny, clever and [offering] often incisive commentary on life [in] … Colombo”.

‘Blowhards’ runs from the 11th-13th November at Namel- Malini Punchi Theatre’.
