‘With this first appearance at the Goethe-Institut by Musicmatters artists for 2016, they celebrate the successful relocation of their school in Borella to a fully-fledged music education facility on Vauxhall Street, Colombo 2, five years since the school’s inception.

While many of the core artists from Musicmatters will take the stage to celebrate this momentous occasion, the evening will feature Musicmatters’ latest artists in residence, Austrian pianist Phillip Rist. At a relatively young age, Phillip has appeared in a number of European Festivals in groups as well as a soloist such as Jazz Festival St. Poelten, Tschirgart Jazz Festival and International Festival of Jazzpiano.’
