This is a pretty interesting title for an acoustic gig and here’s who plays on the night
Dylan Perera ft. Elvina Solomon
Frontman of Spleen Saint, an underground metal band from yesteryear, he has mellowed out over the years, soothing his growls to softer intonations, his deft fingers arpeggio through the motions of adulthood, inspired by Damien Rice and Steve Von Till, he is yet another adult contemporary.
*imaad majeed
Known better for his repertoire as a singer-songwriter, with hits such as My Love (#3 on Yes Homegrown Top 15 in 2012) and the fan favourite Bug Eyes, an asterisk to his name and lower case for humility finds the poet turning spoken word to rap to trap beats, trip-hop and downtempo grooves, though he has also been known to indulge in an Eastern aesthetic with his side-project En De Jah Nus.
Talal Akram Jabeer
Frontman of TNL Onstage 2012 runner-up band Rivera, Talal has a lot more under his sleeve. You might hear him cover Curbside Prophet at an open mic, but he could kick some howlin’ blues at the tip of a hat, with a voice that soars, unrestrained.
