Choreographed by Umeshi Rajeendra in collaboration with Malaka Mp, “Deconstruct the Embody” is a multidisciplinary project showing how different disciplines string together a story through contemporary movement.
Performed at Lionel Wendt Art gallery, the performance will begin with a tour of the exhibited pieces followed by a dance at any random point. We welcome people to come experience the dance and respond to it – Are the images a reflection of the choreography or is the choreography a reflection of the images?
The performance is restricted to limited heads (40 per showing) in the evening as follows:

Mesh Academy of Dance/Mesh Dance Theatre is headed by Umeshi Rajeendra, who is the choreographer and Chief Artistic Director of the production. Mesh Dance Theatre is a subsidiary of the school and is launching as a dance company via this production.
