Huzni (http://soundcloud.com/
With roots reaching way back to ’96, conscious rapper Huzni had his first start as an emcee in the legendary Brown Boogie Nation. His message spans topics of social equality, economic freedom, political discrimination, racial and religious hatred. Huzni believes music can be used to influence positive thought.
*imaad majeed (http://
Known better for his repertoire as a singer-songwriter, with hits such as My Love (#3 on Yes Homegrown Top 15 in 2012) and the fan favourite Bug Eyes, an asterisk to his name and lower case for humility finds the poet turning spoken word to rap to trap beats, trip-hop and downtempo grooves.
RAY (http://soundcloud.com/
A poet and musician, RAY has been writing and performing solo and with a band for the past year as a profession, having pursued music and writing as a passion for a few years, starting off as a drummer for a little school band. His first instrument was the piano, then the drums and he now makes use of the guitar as a side kick to his writing and composing, while on stage he’s known to have a few tricks us his sleeve, including a hand-to-mouth-organ. He’s a star attraction at arguably the most popular open mic in town, as he has a knack for delivering crowd pleasers, every single time.
