Guitar Fest 2017 will jointly be organized by the Department of Culture and the Guitar Association of Sri Lanka.

20th January 2017 – University of Jayawardenapura
21st January 2017 – Russian Cultural Centre
22nd January 2017 – University of Peradeniya
23rd January 2017 – Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy (School Show)
24th January 2017 – Badulla Town Hall
25th January 2017 – Batticaloa Eastern University
26th January 2017 – Jaffna (Location TBD)

Local guitarists (Andrew Obeysekere, Rohan Silva, Derrick Wickramanayake, Anslem Fernando and many more) as well as popular guitarists from India, Pakistan and Japan will be peforming for this series of events. Guitar acts of Harp, Eastern, Karnatic and Western guitar interpretation will be displayed in this event. All concerts are free of charge for all music lovers and public
