The Acoustic Collective is a non-profit platform that has been established to give the talented musicians of Sri Lanka opportunities to record and release their original music free of charge. The major barrier for amateur musicians has been the recording cost and the collective’s objective is to break through that barrier and develop the local music industry.

The Acoustic Collective, the brainchild of four individuals with a passion for music, is an idea that came about through the experiences of individuals who have had the opportunity of learning and understanding the issues in the local music industry.

With the aim of doing just that, The Collective will be showcasing all the songs that have been recorded through the Collective at the Artists Evening, featuring some of the finest young musical talents in town. The show will be done with a good cause in mind too, that being bringing awareness on suicide, an issue that is of increasing relevance in the country.

So be there at the Lakshman Kadiragamar Institute on Saturday the 15th of July as we set the city alight in what is bound to be a night to remember. Music kicks off at 7.30 PM.
